You know I've always like those spinning lightsabers. Like the Inquisitors act like they are so good and better then the Jedi they are hunting. Yet they don't have the skills to spin a lightsaber..... They gotta resort to cheating.

Could it be that he hides his lightsaber in another cylinder-like item, just so he could have it in plain sight, but not identifiable as a lightsaber?

In the aforementioned KENOBI novel, he did use his saber, but always very cautiously where it wouldn't be obvious.

Thing is, the Aftermath trilogy was canon and they didn't adhere to that very much...

I really hope that if there are inquisitors (which I am not about), they never actually find Kenobi. The last thing I want is Kenobi to use his lightsaber in this show, which unfortunately seems like it's going to happen. Again, I'd recommend everyone to read the Kenobi book by John Jackson Miller from 2013. Easily my favorite Star Wars book.

Pretty much yeah. It's very much Kenobi acting the whole Ben persona and helping a bunch of moisture farmers. It's a very small-scale story that challenges Kenobi's identity as a Jedi and forces him to become comfortable in exile.

To my mind that's what this show should be. It's not going be that but this summation sounds perfect to me.
