Hi, I know there are a few short term build offs ,considering the up and coming Star Wars release and the number of kits to be released , plus the enthusiasm from scratch builders for the new subject we have an opportunity to use the return of the iconic film franchise to kick off a competition. With the breath of environments, characters and vehicles we could have either three competitions (1 per quarter ) or three different classifications (kit build, scratch builds, key scenes (empire Luke and Vader in carbonate facility) has always been my dream build ,.
If anyone has industry contacts even something like an ILM model signature would be a cool prize, or between the competition maybe even Disney may show an interest
I did search for other ref build offs but could only see the right stuff, I was thinking of this as a long term goal.

Potential interest.

I'd be interested in knowing more details. Personally, I'd be more interested in a "three different classification" style that one per quarter. But I'd only do it if a number of other people were also doing it.

Also, would it be all inclusive of Star Wars subjects or just limited to on-screen canon from the films and cartoons?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, as I am new to this forum I don't know how it works, I threw this out as a suggestion.
The quarterly idea was to cover individuals (many on is forum) who turn projects around quickly, I would prefer the same as you final date with a number of categories.
i would imagine the competition should include all Star Wars subjects .
lets see if any of the experienced members here are interested.

Looking forward to building the new stuff.......and kit parts should be much cheaper
if they are detailed as the original minis were.
