Star Trek Picard Season Three

With invisible nacelles? Don't think so. Maybe it was "towed" through space by several ships with warp drives?
The warp coils simply need to be away from people; they could be lining the very outermost ring of the large "cap" of the spacedock itself.

I mean, if you're going to put a thing in space and you've essentially broken the laws of physics to the point that energy is free, why wouldn't it be mobile?

Why would a space  STATION be mobile?
So they can build it at one location and then send it where needed. Also: they can retrieve it as necessary and redeploy when strategically necessary.

(The Cardassians could have used that idea so they didn't lose Terek Nor).

...but has it ever been established that a Starbase or other facility wasn't just assembled in orbit of its assigned location, which would make sense?

Not a fan of Starfleet just having the unlimited resources to ship massive stations to and fro under their own power. These things aren't stored in a Spacedock trailer park, are they?

Well, that would make for a funny cartoon (or even a skit on Lower Decks).

It wouldn't be a regular occurrence, but if they wanted to move the original Spacedock to another star system. they could do it. You just need a bunch of ships with a huge merged Warp bubble. Complicated but doable, considering they would have all the time they needed to set it up.

If anything the video proves that even with older cloaks it still takes special effort to detect a cloaked ship if you suspect one is in the area. Standard scans don't pick them up (probably a tradeoff for scanning speed and efficiency). Is the Bounty really the only time we see someone beam through a cloak? Did they ever do it in the Defiant?

One big example of winking at the audience with a meta-reference and pulling you right out of the movie is in First Contact: “And you people, you’re all astronauts… on some kind of Star Trek.” If they had cut that line, the scene would’ve worked very well without it. I still watch FC often, because it’s the best of the TNG films, but that line always tweaks me.
I remember chuckling at this the first time I saw it, then I was like wait, what ? LOL.

Episode 7 isn't my favourite to be honest. Exposition heavy and a few silly/contrived scenes. But I loved the heartfelt scene between Geordi and Data/Lore, and Amanda Plummer gives some of her best performance in the show so far in this episode. Not a fan of the Jack/Sidney "drift compatible" bit. On to the next one!

Loved it. The stakes are high, and if I’m not mistaken we’ve reached the “all is lost” moment before the climax. I’m stoked!! Also I liked Jack’s phaser.

So while people are clamoring and petitioning for a 25th century USS Titan spin-off TV show, Paramount announces a 32nd century Discovery spin-off that nobody asked for instead.

Un-*******-believable.

Hate to be a downer, but the logical outcome of PICARD winning some people back will be Kurtzman and his gang being newly empowered to pump out more dreck. That’s the reality of the situation.

Bait.

And.

Switch.

I've mostly enjoyed the streaming era Trek, but this sounds truly godawful. Even worse than "floating nacelles" and the utterly ridiculous turbolift chase in the cavernous bowels of the Disco.

That said, I loved this weeks ep of Picard. Amanda Plummer is terrifying as Vadic. One of the best trek villains in a long time.
