It seemed like a filler episode to get to the final act. A good filler episode, but still a filler.

Dreck ! All they do is vacillate between subverting fan expectations and extreme fan service. I'll take the fan service, but with better lighting, but stop with the subversion shi'ite. The few straggler fans you pick up from that, couldn't care less about Star Trek the day after the show airs. They don't buy the merchandise, which used to be where the real money was. Of course not too many people want merch from Star Dreck.

Listen, I don't have a dog in the race when it comes to Michelle Yeoh. All I know is that she was terrible in the only STD episode I could ever bring myself to watch (...the first half of the prequel to the pilot which aired for free on CBS in 2017), and that I hate her character. Literally every clip I've seen and plot point I've heard about involving her has been awful.
I saw clip from STD of Georgiou indicating that she wanted to have a threesome with STD's token gay couple, and it was pure, unadulterated cringe. One of the worst scenes ever to be associated with the STAR TREK franchise. Stupid, tasteless, and pointless.
The prospect of a whole series built around this character is beyond a joke.
My whooshing is in line with established canon, and doesn't employ magic mushroom engines.

…this is disturbingly on-point, considering the mentality of the target audience for STD.
There's a Voyager documentary on the horizon. After that the same people will be doing an Enterprise documentary.
Hopefully Voyager and DS9 remasters as well.
Unfortunately the latest update on that Voyager Documentary is it won't be out until spring next year!
It seems to be taking an absolute age to get it finished. They've said the pandemic hit them, but that is the same for every other film/TV show being made and this is essentially a load of talking head interviews that didn't involve multiple people in the same shot.
I'm just a bit concerned they are going to have NuTrek people giving their 2 pence worth on Voyager when I want this to be a purely Voyager centric documentary with actors and behind the scenes people from that series only.
