Finished this resin cast of a Rick Sternbach Proto/Concept TNG Hypospray

I thought it was a sonic screwdriver.
I’m not sure I’ve seen that configuration in a hypo spray before?!? The outside ones in last picture definitely!

If I recall correctly, the middle one was a concept version drawn during the development of the series, it's a more futuristic looking TOS hypospray.

Actually on the drawing it's labeled Bio Sampler... like it's used to take blood or tissue.

Nice one! This device wasn't just a concept. It was actually used by Beverly Crusher in TNG season 7 episode 22 "Bloodlines" when she took a blood sample of Picard's "son" to check his DNA. While holding the top part to his neck she pulled the bottom part away to fill the vial with blood... It is just a very short scene, felt like maybe 2-3 seconds. But the device was clearly visible.
