Star trek model

Hi guys/gals wondering if you could help. I'm looking for a model to build and thought of the enterprise. I would prefer either A or D versions. My problem is which one to go for. I would prefer something on a grandish scale (over 12inches). Any ideas?

Mods feel free to move if I've posted in the wrong section

Many thanks

What's your budget?

here are some on ebay that may suit your needs

Star Trek Deep Space Nine Model on eBay.ca (item 140489715450 end time 19-Dec-10 18:47:51 EST)

**** extremely good deal****
AMT Star Trek USS Enterprise Model Kit S970 Unopen1979 on eBay.ca (item 110624539358 end time 18-Dec-10 17:55:10 EST)

Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-C Model Kit on eBay.ca (item 190479678279 end time 11-Jan-11 22:44:42 EST)

That second link would be a good one as it is the original release of the Refit from AMT and as such has none of the inaccurate hull plating as seen on later kits (TWOK onwards).
The D would be a good kit to get but I would wait for a bit as that one is going to be re-released sometime soon in clear plastic which is ideal for people who light their kits. It is also going to include decals for all the aztecing. It's about 18" long
They are both decently sized and the D can be displayed seperated if wanted.

D would be my prefered option. Any ideas of the maker and when it is due for release?

I'm liking the large model on eBay, just the shipping cost that pushes the price up, I'll be keeping an eye on it though.......
