Hi all,
this is my first post here, the excellent work is intimidating and inspiring. A friend suggested i post my project here to get some feedback and suggestions.
I would love to hear what everyone thinks.

I have made a page here: https://www.facebook.com/warpcorereactor/
there are videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnLzAvwDO5eO--AcSJsRWSA2oRhkfC0Nq
and the files and code to make your own are here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnLzAvwDO5eO--AcSJsRWSA2oRhkfC0Nq

the design was inspired by the warp core in the NCC-1701-D but i took some liberties to make it my own.

Thanks for the kind words!
i have so much I still want to do, but I have temporarily put aside work on this while I teach myself arduino programming for some product development I am doing with a colleague.

as always I appreciate feedback, criticism, and suggestions!

Thanks for the compliment, I printed most of it at .06mm layer thickness and spent a lot of time spraying with high build filler and many hours of sanding.

It is currently disassembled as i was intending to do a "how to" on the assembly but i have been side tracked working on some product development stuff and learning to code arduino for the last few months. I do intend to re-assemble it this week and shoot some more photos.

here is a video of it working
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VM0uKbD648, i think i previously linked to this, sorry if its a repeat.
here is another video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFkHqqVNLXg
basically all the videos i have are posted in the original post.

I still have not learned how to implement a working touch screen UI, even though the graphics are all designed. Its likely not hard to do, i just have not had time. Which is ironic considering i have been unemployed for the last many months.

thanks for your kind words, they are much appreciated.

OK, i have just ordered a Stinger Missile case to make into a transport case for the warp core. Ironically this missile is manufactured by my former employer, Raytheon, and it happens to be, what appears to be the perfect size. ok, random fact done... onto the fun stuff.

perhaps YOU here can help me figure out details of Trek TNG universe warning stickers and make awesome suggestions for content.

here is the type of case i ordered
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn52/ShadowM99/StingerMissleCasewithBarrett.jpg

what I would love:
ideas of what to pain on this
colors to use
reference to trek warning stickers
I want some kind of "antimatter" warning symbol like this: https://astrowright.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/antimatter-logo-shaded.png
or like this: http://orig04.deviantart.net/a230/f...tter_antimatter_reaction_by_okiir-d5zxr9s.png

i was thinking of marking it like its a starfleet academy "laboratory reactor kit"
I was also thinking of painting the base as gloss white, with the united federation of planets in the middle of the 2 main side, as big as I can get.

but i am totally open to ideas, i would be super super excited to hear anything anyone thinks, i will then mock it up in photoshop and post the images here for people to pick apart before i paint and get vinyl stickers made.

thanks for being awesome!

OK, i have just ordered a Stinger Missile case
Now that's something you don't hear every day.....................do you travel in a fun vee as well? Or the humdrum vee??? :lol
Great warp core BTW and love the lighting effects. Will be super awesome with a working touch screen.

its less exotic than it sounds, i just ordered it from ebay. Its just a fancy aluminium box.

i like to think every vehicle i get in is the funvee!
BTW the touchscreen works now, it just doesn't control the warp core through the lcars interface :(

I am working to get some good photos of the finished and running core.
I have also been toying with the idea of making a backpack mount for it so i could walk around at conventions with it. HA! how silly would that be!
