As I mentioned earlier, once she was exposed to the trillium, her character had a lot more meat to work with. And here relationship with Tucker is fantastic. I just watched the one where she got married last night. Good stuff

I found Trips character to ultimately be very tragic.
He was always so up beat but so much bad stuff came his way.

It seems she was all ready to portray a traditional style Vulcan, but was overruled by the people in charge who just wanted to repeat the 7of9 sex appeal. IIRC she was one of those who agreed with the disappointment that they were often replacing plot with boobs...

I've read that she also was disappointed that she didn't get to have the traditional Vulcan eyebrows and ears. During the filming hiatus between the second and third seasons she and Makeup Supervisor Michael Westmore got together and created a more traditional Vulcan look for T'Pol, and when filming began for the third season no one even noticed the changes. :lol

Great stuff. This entire series if been annoyed at the Vulcans. They're such pricks. Anyway, now that this story happened, it made so much sense

What are your thoughts on the Andorians thus far?

Total pricks. But also, an ally. They've really created unique personalities really well. Ones that don't align with our ou own.

They're not very concerned with honour, like the klingon or Vulcans. But they are also somewhat dependable. They're kinda like crappy, self serving humans.

But I love the guy who plays the main andorian. He did the voice of wheel jack on transformers: Prime. So I gravitate to him.

That would be Jeffrey Combs' "Shran", I too love him
I think they really gave the Andorians some depth. They don't feel like flat characters. They have some depth and you can relate to some of their actions. Like those rare times when they are not being selfish pricks :lol

I totally agree. The show really went to great lengths to show how the difference in culture actually sculpts personality. And how long it's going to take humans to adapt to that.

I'm not really familiar with them. I don't remember them from TNG or TOS. Mind you, I haven't seen every episode of either

one of my favorite and sad quotes from colmbs comes from a talking toons podcast. he said sometimes agents will cast you just soley based on how many twitter followers you have. not because of talent or acting ability.

there's being un reasonable, and there is being total jerks. i remember it being more of the latter.

Wow. That is sad!

And yes, the vulcans were pricks. It didn't fit right. But now seeing what happened with the high command and the original texts of vulcan, it all makes sense. We got to see a major development of their culture during this show. It leveled the playing field with the humans.

I watching season 3, most of it for the first time. all i remembered was the cool xindi alien designs.

But yeah, I figured that might have been the case....

I know that the crew were sent back to fix the problem in the temporal cold war.

But if he could do that, why didn't he put archer on the bridge of the enterprise? And for that matter, why did he try to talk archer out of going to disarm the weapon, if he had the power to save him anyway?
