Limited Run Star Lord's Helmet, accurate with screen used lineage.

Re: Star Lord's Helmet, with screen used lineage.

PM sent :) Love the look of this kit! Also, super jealous you got to see Vol.2 !

Re: Star Lord's Helmet, with screen used lineage.

I'm coming up on some open printer time with most current orders about to be filled, so if you want a shorter wait time on one of these, get in asap!

Re: Star Lord's Helmet, with screen used lineage.

A couple more Element Gun orders have come in, which bumps the wait time a couple weeks on one of these, but I am still accepting orders.

Just wanted to pop in and say this was a very nice kit. It was my first time finishing a full raw 3D print for a customer so it took some time and trial and error but I think it's a damn nice piece.

Thank you for the praise! That is VERY nice paintwork and weathering. I really like the deeper gold you went for. My first attempt is more pale, but the next one I do will be darker as well I think. Also great to know that Risu's lens kit works with it.

You had stated that you might made the open faced version....im interested pending $$$$....

Yes, I am working on it. I don't know yet if the open version will be ONLY open or if I can make the faceplate close with magnets. I'm afraid that changes needed to add a magnetic closure will make it less accurate. Most likely, one setup might make another harder. (For example, you might have to choose between lighting the eyes OR the materialization effects unless you're real good with electronics.) It might be that those who want both options will have to get two separate faceplates and swap between them. I just don't know yet. (Both faceplates should fit ALL kits though, even those already printed and shipped.)

Hi
I have a 22 inch head circumference. Do you scale to fit my head ? And also how much for the lid ?

My head is 22" and it fits me great with some padding in the back and car headliner fabric/foam around the sides. Kits are currently $330.

Been working on this for a few days and am now running the first test print in clear blue plastic. If it prints nicely, I'll be taking orders for the "materializing" helmet. Cost will be the same as the regular. (Besides the face, it's identical to the regular kit.) I might also offer a "loose" upper faceplate for those that want to attempt to make the blue parts interchangeable, but that will be an extra cost.

With the "materializing" helmet, can the loose face plate be designed to fit over the blue parts like a lego?

Re: Star Lord's Helmet, with screen used lineage.

No, the details are too intricate for that. You could get an entire extra "face" and rig it with magnets, but that'd be up to the individual builder.

The "materializing" version can now be ordered. (For an extra fee, I can include TWO faceplates, regular and materializing, for those that want to make it interchangeable with magnets.) Here is a quick test print with clear blue plastic with some back-lighting and silver marker quickly added.
