I agree, the red looks better. As to the color, I think it is more of a gold than yellow. Also, out of the people who are building this helmet, do any of you wear glasses? Most of the helmets I build basically sit there because they don't fit with glasses and I don't have contacts yet :-( Also, don't some movie theaters have rules against that kind of head gear? I'd be fine carrying this thing, but it kinda decreases the badassness. :lol

I've backlit red plastic with yellow lights in the past, and it makes them show up kind of orange-ish. Think that might be what they're doing here for the lenses? Then they'd show up red when unlit (or when the LEDs are overpowered by outside lighting).

I have been playing with red LED's on orange plastic. I'm pretty pleased with the way its looking.

Hey man awesome build. When I follow the link to the file I get a completely different model and it's way too complicated. Any chance you can post the file you have here? I can't find it anywhere.

Hey this is a great project! I plan on doing pretty much the same project (using card stock and hardening with epoxy). Can you tell me what points you used for measurements on the pep file to get a good fit?
