No I have the kit offered by rgriesback/Rocketeer as an add on.

Ah OK well I'm not exactly sure how that kit works as I've only done the risu kit in the mduckett helmet

Sorry man, jet lagged. So cut out the eyes, then you can either glue the lense to the helmet, or to the front of the rings (from the acc pack) using super glue. Then the LEDs go into the rings behind the lenses, closest to your eyes. Does that make sense? Helmet -> Lense -> ring -> LEDs (inside rings)...

This may be a dumb question, but I'm a bit confused on how to do the lenses. (I have the accessory kit as well).

This is how I'm assuming we do it (someone please correct me if I'm wrong):

After cutting out the eyes, flatten the back of the helmet around the eyes so the lenses sit flat.

Attach the lenses directly to the inside of the helmet. (hot glue?)

This is where I get confused...do I then attach the eye rings to the lenses? And where do the LEDs go...back of the eye ring, or closer to the front, nearer the lenses?

Small update:

The 3rd run will be finished and shipped by this week. Those on the 4th run should expect an email this week with directions on payment, shipping, etc. We will be doing a 5th run, expect more info about that in the next week or two.

Finishing work from the 1st run and 2nd is still underway.

Don't use super glue! It chemically fogs acrylic. Try e6000

For those looking to be on the 5th run, please don't PM us asking to be put on the list. The only fair way to do it this is the way we've done it for the past 4 runs. I will send out a PM to everyone who's posted in the thread (since the last run) and then the 1st 15 people to follow the directions in the PM and sent a deposit will get on the 5th run.

So keep an eye on your inbox, we expect to open it up this week.

And for those on the 4th run, expect an email within the next day with instructions on how to finish payment and an ETA on time.

Also, just to repeat what we've said in the past: There is no selling or trading your spot/deposit. If you pay the deposit, it's your helmet. If you change your mind, then you've lost your deposit. Sorry

Doesn't bode well for me and my 24" noggin. Fingers crossed!

I just got my kit today...looks great! However, I am disappointed to see that it may be a bit too small for my head (which is not all that large). I did a test fit and while I can get it on, the sides of the front piece press super hard on my temples and I wouldn't be able to leave it that way for more than a few minutes. I assume there's no safe way to like "stretch it out" - it won't have enough give to flex without weakening it, right? I'm thinking maybe I can just sand down the interior...how thin do you think I could take it before it would be structurally compromised? (Judging from the pressure I'd need to take a lot off.)

Did you read the next comment? when he says it fits? I have had lots of people with 24" heads say it fits great for them. It really depends on your head shape....
