I just got my kit today..too small for my head
I just got my kit today...looks great! However, I am disappointed to see that it may be a bit too small for my head (which is not all that large). I did a test fit and while I can get it on, the sides of the front piece press super hard on my temples and I wouldn't be able to leave it that way for more than a few minutes. I assume there's no safe way to like "stretch it out" - it won't have enough give to flex without weakening it, right? I'm thinking maybe I can just sand down the interior...how thin do you think I could take it before it would be structurally compromised? (Judging from the pressure I'd need to take a lot off.)
You might wanna make sure it fits the back piece. Maybe the front piece bowed in a bit? Because I've had people with 24" heads say they love it cause it fits perfect.
And yes you could hear it with hot water or a heat gun. Don't go crazy cause it'll warp. But if you slowly widen it...with the back piece onto something the right width the use some straps/elastics to secure it then let it cool down. I've done it with resin lots.
WOW! My helmet kit arrived yesterday & the detail is incredible. Glad I was able to buy one. Can't wait to paint it![]()
Just wondering if there is another run in the future?
I've got a Helegak one printed but still to assemble and paint and wondering if anything goes wrong I'd love this as a back up (tbh the Helegak one as a back up) if you can pm me or let me know that would be awesome, thanks![]()
This may be a dumb question, but I'm a bit confused on how to do the lenses. (I have the accessory kit as well).
This is how I'm assuming we do it (someone please correct me if I'm wrong):
After cutting out the eyes, flatten the back of the helmet around the eyes so the lenses sit flat.
Attach the lenses directly to the inside of the helmet. (hot glue?)
This is where I get confused...do I then attach the eye rings to the lenses? And where do the LEDs go...back of the eye ring, or closer to the front, nearer the lenses?
Are you using the risu kit? This may be a dumb question, but I'm a bit confused on how to do the lenses. (I have the accessory kit as well).
