I was wondering if I could get clarification on how many pieces of fabric are needed for the bag (because I'm a little confused about the description in a previous post). Is it two pieces of the khaki fabric to make the bag straight from scratch? I know you have used an already made bag as a base Soulinertia, do you use one piece of khaki to cover the bag, or two to get that extended piece that is not part of the underlying bag base? I just want to make sure how many pieces I actually need before I order. Thank you.

2 pieces of the lighter and 1 piece of the darker should allow you to make your bag from scratch

Actually, I started off trying to use an existing bag. I later decided to build one from scratch. If you are using the existing bag shown you can probably get away with just one sheet, but if your building one from scratch I highly suggest 2 sheets of the light. In either case, only 1 sheet of the dark is needed. I also provide templates for the shapes to cut out of the dark fabric and templates for the main body of the bag. One to cut out of leather for the back, and one to cut out of the light fabric for the front.

Thank you both. I already purchased a bag about two weeks ago or so thinking that would be the best way to do things. I just sent in an order for two pieces of the fabric (one colour each), and a hardware kit without the buckle.

For completed bags or just the fabric/hardware kits?
I have just enough material and hardware to fulfill a couple more orders. After that I'll need to replenish my stock, which could take about a month to gather with international shipping and screening more fabric.
As for the fully completed bags, I am taking a few commissions. PM for details if interested.

I have some screened dark fabric on hand already, but I can make more if need be. I just bought 2 new bolts of fabric.
