SS Y-Wing Yea the one no one wants to make?

Ok Well I cut the T Stock for one engine, if you order the packages
of the T stock you will get four per package, even though they are
24 inch lengths once you cut them there won't be enough left over
if you mess it up. So measure 2 cut once or something like that.... :confused

I cut the 1st one like this .......

And the other three at the same time less chance to
mess it up, plus they cut cut on a 90 with the miter jig and saw.
You can make your vertical notch cut like this also, just
be sure not to go beyond the vertical part of the
T-stock as you saw.

I decided to scribe some panel lines to designate the
call sign for the ship, I wasn't thinking which one I wanted
to make at the time. But at 9mm wide I was able to fit 6
of them some ......so Gold 6. Then I checked to see if there
was a Gold 6..... turns out Gold 6 was the call sign for Hol
Okand, he flew for the Alliance in the early years so it's
possible he flew one before they started leaving off the panels.

Flying under the callsign Gold Six, Okand flew with the Y-wings of Gold Squadron in the early years of the Alliance. Prior to the Battle of Yavin, Okand played a role in disabling the deflector shields of an Imperial outpost at Kashyyyk, where he flew as Jon Vander's wingman, using his ion cannons to bring down the shields.

Here he is but in a X-wing it said he died in the battle of Yavin.

Is this W in any of the films?

Great job.

Thank you Ray thanks stormy.....Oh I don't
know I doubt it's in any of the films. I only
saw a pic of it in the cross sections book,
and only decided to make it when I saw F-toys
had a tiny model of it.:thumbsup

Even those rubber band looks different when they are on your model!
Great build Michael-san.

And I want you to finish that A-wing.:p

Mike are the vector rings vac formed or are they Leggs eggs? because they look like they have a little thickness the one I cut seemed to be thin.
