Spray on plastic?

There is a product called PlastiDip. I don't think it sprays on hard.
You can also try Foam in a can. I don't know what your making or building but
those are the only two products I can think of right now.

Hopes this helps.

Like in an areosol spray can?For the home user...not to my knowledge.Maybe for industrial applications that have to use specialized eqipment. The only plastics I've seen in an aerosol can were mold releases like teflon.Industrial fiberglassers can spray/shoot out polyester resins from a paint gun. What is it you are wanting to do?

Tap Plastics also makes a spray-on rigid expanding foam. 1Qt and 10Qt sets, and comes with a sprayer. But it's not going to keep surface detail like spray paint or anything.

Cheap spray gun (with big tip, drill it out) or a gel coat gun and a low viscosity slower set traditional casting resin will work... It won't spray 'smooth' but it will self level fine... Immediate and detailed clean up of the gun is the only real big drawback...

I have not looked yet, but i am told that the roll on "Lines-ex" type truck bed liner material is now available in a spray. Maybe try that.

I got the samples as well and they look great! Two (1 thick/1 thin layered) are 4x4x1 size foam and 1 4x4x1 plywood with brushed on Styrospray. They are very smooth despite of it being brushed on and it hardens to a durable hard shell. I am very impressed with the product!

Me too! sold completely.....
I also have some 770 Gel coming as well...my understanding is that this product is great for mother molds as well kinda like smoothon's shell shock, only without the heat. the really cool part is that you can brush it on, wait 20 minutes brush it again, wait 20 minutes and so on till you achieve the thickness you want, it's ready to paint the next day, though it cures fully in few days, even less in hotter climates, but is amazingly hard for what it is.... shore 65

Pretty cool stuff.First I've heard/seen of it.I would have thought that it would only be available for industrial applications only and not for home use.

Firefoxm31,

That's exactly what I will be using Styrospray 1000 for is to coat some styrofoam master mold sculpts to finalize them for molding.
