Does anyone here know where I may be able to get a pair of Spiderwomen white thigh high boots?

I'm thinking you'd be better off making a spandex suit incorporating the white boot-tops and sticking some ankle boots or pumps through the footies at the bottom of the suit. It'll have a more accurate look and should be a lot cheaper too.

I'd only do real boots if you're going to be doing real gloves too; and the gloves can easily be found on eBay by searching for white opera gloves.

Thanks guys.. but the suite is already made... the glove portion is incorporated onto the costume.. but the white-boots section is not. Not sure if I know of anyone that can alter it for me.. any thoughts?

I agree boots should match the gloves if possible. Mainly because if you are going for naturalistic with the boots the gloves ought to be naturalistic as well. If the gloves are combined it just looks better to

This should be very easy for the person who has made your suit to do as the line is nice and smooth and pretty much follws the natural curve and pull of the body.

This is a relatively simple approach that will work. You can then literally cut the legs off the bodysuit and sew these on in place. Just be careful with matching and cuttng.
With this though do make sure to either glue the spandex just before the sole or just around the under edge of the sole. You do not want the spandex all the way under as that leads to slippng and tripping over.

I made boot covers once from 2 way pvc. Same principle, worked a treat too.

If you want the side seams to match then it will be a little trickier but similar principle of fitting on the leg. You may need a little gusset or clock near the heel but probably not with spandex.

One seam up the back (historic bias cut hose, similar principle.

snaz75.com is a great site and u can get them for pretty cheap. You should be able to take the boots to any cobbler and they can cut and sew them into the top design u need for very little time and money.

Ember did a neat Anna Valerious costume with thigh high boots. Might get some inspiration from her achievement if the real boots are not available. Just a thought.

Thanks for the link! :)

My Anna boots are basically a pair of black ankle-high boots with a thigh-high tube pulled up over each one. There's an elastic stirrup that goes under each one so they won't pull up, and they're held up by straps that are attached to a belt hidden under the corset.

Unless you want to pattern the white parts into your costume , I'd suggest making the boot covers out of a stretch fabric that closely matches your bodysuit (then you can make gloves out of the same fabric so they both match). You could attach them to the bodysuit on the outsides of the legs with a hidden industrial snap or button (ie: button ends up on the inside of the suit), or you could do similar to what I did with Anna and have them held up and attached via straps attached to a thin belt hidden inside your costume (just have an opening in the bodysuit where each strap ends so you can clip the boots on through it)
I personally would give the first method a go since straps may still be visible beneath the suit, but it's all up to you! :)

Here's a pic that shows the boot covers. It's a little hard to see the straps because of the black pants, but I hope it helps illustrate the idea!

Thanks guys.. I just purchased 1.5 yards of white PVC vinyl and will be working on this on Sunday. This place is so awesome!!

I'll post some photos once this is complete :D

Excellent :) Have you decided if you'll do covers or integrate them into the suit? ('m going to need to make full leg length pvc covers and matching gloves myself, I'm still debating on whether to put seams at the front or sides ;) ) I think I'll attempt sides with a lot of fitting, seaming and fiddling at the ankles for a good fit ;)

Ooh, I forgot to add, a big plus to making your own covers from PVC/other stretch fabric? You can pretty much eliminate that annoying zip from the inside leg.
