Has anyone ever thought of making a Web Hammock?
Like this?

I would use rope, but has anyone ever thought of doing this or have done something similar?

Good idea, You could also do one like when it comes out of his hands in the comics, as a single person hammock.

Yeah, I think I'll do the single person-sized one for space issues. After all, I don't wan't make a 50 ft. high web hammock.

they have one of these at the woodland park zoo here in seattle its near the kiddy area.
its pretty sweet

yeah, i thought about this before. and a web-backpack too.
did you ever end up making it?
using stretched plastic wrap gets the best look and is strong - for instance, Costco uses a particular type of plastic wrap to ship liquids and such that when pulled out and stretched becomes this really strong, wiry, translucent material that looks just like the webs in spiderman. i'd try epoxy to hold it together in spots over a knot.
I have gobs of the stuff I wound up after ordering detergent, etc from Costco over the years, but i think you could probably just test a few types of suranwrap or whatever.

If you want to make it look like the movie, i would say use some kind of elastic strong rope or whatever and use silicone to make it look more like a web.

Imagine waking up from one of those dreams where your falling to see that your "floating" one story...

What would be ironic is if he had mattress under him on he first floor to break his fall if he does.

What would be scary is if he woke up and someone was underneath it and ripped him down through the hammock..
