Spider-Man Suit

I have ordered a GunHeadDesign.com Spider-Man pattern and am going to have it printed on lycra as soon as I get paid. I can't wait! I've messaged TrophyWife and asked about her prices for sewing. If I don't hear back who are some other good people on here that would be good at sewing lycra?

This is the pattern I ordered.

Try looking around in your town for entertainment troups like theatre or others, they usually have people who are able to sew things up

Ok I was wondering cause she hasn't replied yet. Her messages were full but I emailed her. Any other suggestions? Also I'm in need of a good face shell too. Anybody good with those? lol

TrophyWife responded to my inquiry via Facebook messaging. You might have more luck by sending her a message on Facebook.

I've heard that TJack offers a brilliant faceshell and lenses combo, but if you don't want to pay money you could pepakura one in foam or paper. Or, you could check out one of kenlandrum's threads and use his files to have a faceshell 3D printed through Shapeways or another company (although this method would probably the most expensive).

TJack has a variety of lenses and different faceshells. You could also buy the faceshell + lens combo kit which is spectacular. I'm waiting on my kit to arrive as we speak.

Here are a few links to help:

Thanks guys! I will probably be purchasing Tjack's Faceshell+lens kit after I pay for the suit to be printed and sewn together.

The rpc studio is another great option. They can have the suit printed, sewn, and shipped within about 6 weeks. They're a real business, so they keep you updated and they've got great customer service. They also have lenses and shells. It really saves time and money when you can get everything in one place.

The rpc studio is on Facebook. Pricing depends on what you want - they have magnetic faceshells, etc. they actually have a deal with gunhead to print and sew his patterns. If you already have a pattern you can send that to them and it reduces the cost a bit.

TrophyWife is due to have a baby soon, so may be on her time off for that. She has a flat rate of $300 for standard U-zip and back of head zip, $30 for extra arm zips.
El Fett on here can sew as well, I've been in contact with him recently. Fast replies, same rate as TrophyWife for the same style.

Wow that's expensive

Quality work isn't cheap! And I'll bet it's pretty competitive pricing, especially when you consider that some local tailor (who'd probably charge at least that much) likely wouldn't have enough experience with Spider-Man costumes to get the webbing and pattern perfectly aligned.
