Spaceballs: Eagle 5 Build

I am hoping to endeavor building an Eagle 5.

First off, a Winnebago Chieftan 33 is hard to come by. But I’m finding them.

That said, I am VERY confused, as there either appears to be several different 86 Chieftan RU33s, or someone else has gotten confused and passing it on to me.

I cannot find, for the life of me, one with the passenger door. I see it in the model and old videos, but folk saying they’re selling an 86 33? There are details that don’t match.

No door:

Molding is wrong and not rounded

And this one literally says Chieftan 33 on the side and the manual is from 86, but the color and mirrors are wrong, and again, no door. But all the other molding is right.

The silver one is in much better shape, so I’d lean towards getting that one, but not sure what to do about the door sitch. Or if I should just “fake” one. Or if I should just keep on looking for the proper model.

Any advice would be great!!

Sadly, motorhome models are very much like older mobile homes in that they were customizable prior to ordering. There may be quite a few that are exactly the same but as a guarantee there will be plenty that are not. I think it is referred to as "package" versus the general shape and delivery year being called "model". It may be well worth calling the dealer. They likely have fans in house that would know precisely. And, they might have a lead to putting in a proper door.
