Space/NASA helmet, ideas?

Well, I guess this goes for all space movies then... :sleep

I'm looking to make a space helmet for a short film. I've bought large visors in the past for Halo helmets etc but don't think I've seen anything large enough for this use.

The "classic" design would be ideal.

I found this at a retailer, guess the price is OK considering the time & effort making a custom visor. If anyone has any ideas or has ever made something like this, shoot. I'm dry on ideas really. Astronaut Space Helmet Replica

Some guy bought a huge glass lamp globe... not a big fan of that idea. Plastic feels more safeish.
