This is my Freddy Krueger Dream Master costume.
I started out buying a silicone mask and left hand from Darkride Studios. It is the Part 4V2 model. I went through several different sweaters. I bought a Hot Topic one, the stripes were too thin and the sweater was too tight. Then I bought a Rubies sweater and it looked horrible. Then I bought a sweater from Margret O in Germany but it was too beautifully made and expensive for me to want to weather it. Finally I settled on a Spirit Halloween sweater and actually had to purchase a 2nd one to make another attempt at weathering it. I put big holes in the chest on the first one and it looked kinda stupid. The second one came out perfect. I topped the costume off with an Indiana Jones Dorfman Pacific fedora I found on EBay. I used steam to reshape the hat to match the Dream Master movie look, then I cut the band off the hat and pulled all the stitches. The pants are black Dickies I got at Walmart the brown steel toe boots I also found at Walmart. The finishing touch on this costume is the Part 4 "Diner" glove I had made by Brian Sills at Demented Glove Works. I had him put on plastic blades so I can wear it at places that don't allow metal ones. I couldn't be happier with how this costume came out and I hope you enjoy it.
This will have to suffice as "proof" for now, because it is 1:00am in Texas and I'm about to go to bed.
