Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit . Suit Display Done !!

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Yes, is a solid black piece sew on silver under suit so can't ask for natural muscle shading :) if there is a way to silkscreen muscle shading on it would be good too.otherwise may have to stick with only muscle suite to get the looks and feel of "Superman" :)

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

It looks great but y the silver pieces needs a few tweeks. other then that awesome :)

Thanks bro , yeah ... the ab pieces should sew more closer to each other . :D

Is there any way to airbrush and soften the edges of the silver muscles as in the picture of the real muscle undersuit.
This looks great. Can"t wait to see the finished product. Hell, I cant wait to buy the finished product!
Chris

Thanks Chris , all the silver pieces were cut in shape and sewn with the black suit suit , so its difficult to create the muscle tone shape unless its cast in rubber or urethane and air brush it . But it can work on my display suit . :D

Not liking the muscles. Perhaps if the edges weren't so hard/crisp and faded more as chris above said. Or perhaps the tone of the muscles underneath needs to be lighter/softer so its less apparent that they aren't real. Other than that this is coming along great.

Thanks bro. Its difficult to create that effect , unless we create a real muscle suit as same like in the movie . As my buddy skylu3Design suggested below , might look into a silkscreen undersuit as it will have tone muscle shading , its similar like few members create the suit file for MOS or Spidey suit silk screen print , but only the thing to worry is the silver will not look shiny and wont have the effect cause of silk screen print .

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

The top layer on your suit is obviously bridging across the muscles. Look at the angle shot showing the abs. The fabric is going right across the top of the muscles and not dipping at all into the spaces between them. On the real suit the top layer was obviously adhered to the muscles in certain places. I know it's been said that the top layer "rides" across the undersuit, and it may very well do this to some extent in certain places, but there's no way to achieve the molded look of the abs on Cavill's suit without using adhesive and pushing that fabric down into the indentations. On your suit, the only reason you can tell there are abs there is the extreme color difference in the silver abs and the black base layer. It's not because of the 3D nature of the abs sticking out.

Yes , thats because the layer of glissnette material printed with thick chainmail , it become thick and less stretchy , not like the original thin glissnette , and my tailor didnt sewn the suit tight enough on the mannequin , so u can easily sees that its 2 layers . Need to do the suit more skin tight . I can't wear this suit for test cause its made to this Mannequin body size .... Hmm.... i may let few members here with great body build with muscle to try on this suit .....:D:thumbsup

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Also did some tricks on the emblem . I cut a piece of the printed chainmail material in the emblem shape , than spray with the gold paint material that i used on my iron man rubber parts , than i will glue the emblem S with , than attach on the suit . so it will be as thin on the suit and i will not have to air brush the gold direct on the suit . ;) . Still working on the blue frame .

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Hopefully the blue doesn't show through the gold since that glissnet material is so thin. Looking better and better each day Leslee!

It won't bro.. cause I sprayed quite thick of gold paint... but it must be take good care of the gold paint on the textures.
