Looks awesome. Can't wait to see it attached to the suit! Do you think you'll be able to do a similar effect on the yellow portion of the S?

Thanks bro.. Yeah.. sure can, and I will share pic soon.

Sure bro.. Thanks.

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

What type of glue did you use to attach the details? was there any trick you used to get that nice clean finish after attaching them?

It's quite difficult to find good quality of super glue in my place, and I've try few cheap 3 second glue, but it won't stick on to the silicon texture surface, so I used shoe glue to place the armor parts in place at some angle, than used lots of epoxy glue, it dry slowly, but the result is good... so I also wrap the armor parts up with plastic to keep it in place before the glue dry.

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Love the air brushing. Also, not to go off track, but might anyone be able to suggest a good place to get a full body mannequin for a rather cheap/reasonable price? Gonna need one for this suit of course.

Hmmm... depends on u need it for wear or for display, cause the suit will be make to your body measurements size, so it will fit well on u according to your measurements , so unless u can find the mannequin that very close to your body size or cast your full body or another way is to make your mannequin with Dutch tape , it's almost like in the movie that they need to cast the actor body and display the suit... lol...., cause it's not like most of the suit pattern that printed on while Lycra material , it's fabric that printed with full silicon texture, it's still stretch , but not as same as the printed Lycra suit. Imagine the Raimi Spiderman suit glue with full urethane webbing, it's also stretch less than the printed webbing version. That's the important thing that I need to clarify.

Heres a video i made today , u can see the stretch on the printed chain mail fabric painted with gold , and it wont damage the gold paint .... and also Pannaus props S with the blue frame that ive done . Will be working on the paint tone on the gold fabric , than u can see the accurate thin layer of emblem on the chest ... Stay tuned . ;)

hi, it is really good... i think you can do a lighter painting on the gold chainmail part ... the gold part should be a little dark and i think you can have this effect if you put less gold color on the blue chainmail fabric... in my emblem you can see that the gold chainmail is not heavly Painted and you can see a little blue under the gold...the effect that you should have is a dark gold:)

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

The Gold needs that fade, but I am sure Masked Rider is well aware of that. Plus the S symbol needs that pigmentation of shine otherwise it looks too toy like. Other then that amazing work.

I'll glue the S with blue frame down to the gold painted fabric and glue it on the chest... than we will have the thin layer of gold fabric, instead of airbrush the gold on the suit.

Yes, I noticed that as I still need to brush with a thin layer of blue or grey to create the tone effect on the gold piece. Will show u that later.

Looking great Masked Rider!

Will you be gluing the S on, or is that something you'll have us do?

Is there a specific Super Glue you are looking for?

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

You certainly are giving your best on this costume. And it shows.

Chris

Thanks Chris..... not my own work, it's my buddy that created the great 3D armor parts for this project. ;)

Sure bro, I'll do what I can do and left the work that will need u to perfect it ,on your body of course .. ;)

Yes.... but it work great too I'm using shoe glue and epoxy glue combined.

Hmmm.. I may have a question, what kind of glue that usually PPl do to glue their urethane Batman armor on wet suit?

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Those photos show that there are 3 different scaled sizes of the suit pattern. One for the blue, one for the gold and one for the red shield. The red pattern is also flipped as the thicker part of the "X" shape is on the bottom, while the blue/gold "X" has the thicker legs on the top. Odd.

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Ok guys ...... done some airbrush today , heres the tone effect and some dirty effect on the gold chain mail layer and also the S emblem .

Before and after pics ( Photos shot by my cell phone ) ... Let me know what do u all think ... :)
