Thanks Chris , glad that u like it . ;)

That shield is beautiful. Haven't seen one that captures the "pink" the way the movie shield does. Can't wait to see masked rider's version.

Thanks . Im not sure that i will have the time to do the shield , ill take from very talented artist and props maker on this board , and i bet u all know him .... ;)

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

How is the cape attached? Very nice bud!! Have you seen mine?

Yeah , saw your suit , and it looks good . Im planning to attached the cape on 2 pieces shoulder parts with the neck armor that my buddy already work on the print , its exactly same like the movie version . But not sure how the original suit attached , although we can see there was small strips or belting on the shoulder pieces . The simple way is to attached with Velcro on the shoulder piece .

How do you plan on adhering the wrist gauntlets to the suit?

Planning to attached with Velcro so that its also easy to take it off while not wearing , as u can see the rubber material that i used to cast all the body parts , its not as soft as urethane, it will keep its shape and wrap on wrist area perfectly .

I feel sorry for my buddy, cause when I removing the support material.... accidentally broke some corner of the print (resulting small hole)...
So left some work to him to patch:D

Thanks bro . I think my tailor already received the printed fabric and will start make me a full suit , im very excited . She will send me some pics of the new printed fabric that ive decided to print the texture color Blue , slightly darker blue , not going for the more Darker color as i show previously , cause that will make the fabric looks abit purple . I wish it will looks as blue or grey blue from far with all small texture . Well.... will see how its turn up to ... guess more update tomorrow . ;)

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Only available for white strong plastic with this huge size. Not other material option for me...

skylu3Design Ok that makes sense now. Are you going to use them as a mold for silicone parts?

The material i will cast the body parts with , its similar that i used on all my iron man parts . The reason is more easy for me to paint with the high quality paint that i want and also the it will always keep its shape , although it will not as soft as urethane , but will look more beautiful and high quality .

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

I've been following this thread for weeks now, very excited to see how the final product looks. Very intrigued to see how the rubber pieces turn out!

I'm talking to my own silk screener about getting some fabric done, but having a ridiculous time trying to find glissenette in the uk, so I may have to cave and go with lycra. As long as the final product looks good. :p

Re: Some Recent work on MAN OF STEEL Movie accurate suit .

Are you specifically looking for "glissenette"? I'm pretty sure it's simply just a name brand for a nylon/lycra blend. I think if you can find a nylon/lycra blend that is 90 percent/10 percent then it should be pretty close to the same thing.

If you go with Poly/Lyrca, you likely will NOT be able to 3d print on it. Milliskin is 80/20 nylon/lycra. Perhaps you should try that if you can't find anything else.

Yes, is better support with these strips form factor. You get cleaner surface after removing supports, I think...

Did you use Meshmixer to generate the supports on this print?
