Hi all I am SirBrad of "Sirbrad's Horror FX," and I have been designing screen accurate life-sized/costumes for about 3 years now. I have been featured on the official Friday the 13th site several times now, and more recently for my "New Blood" part 7 Jason costume, a commission that I just completed. I specialize in horror costumes and my work has also been featured on DVDS worldwide, most recently the new Nightmare on Elm Street documentary for my Freddy costume, and my life-sized Madman Marz costume to be featured on the re-release. I post a lot of pics on other horror forums and all of my work on myspace page Brad's Pictures - MySpace Photos and my youtube channel YouTube - sirbrad4's Channel

I got lots more projects to come, so stay tuned. I also do commissions. Looking forward to seeing everyone's work here! Thanks.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Sorry for all the pics I just posted all my progress pics as they were posted on other forums. But for me more pics is always better then less. :) Got a lot of surprises coming and my work only continues to get better. Great forum!

Alright here my first fence post and it turned out fabulous. It is about 99% done still drying in some areas. I made it out of wood, a coupling attachment, and some cardboard for the tip. It was all black and looked sick that way but in the movie it also has rust and mud all over it as seen while it is in Jason's chest. So I went for that. I also did the bottom part as accurate as possible as far as the shape goes and it looks charred from where the lightning struck it. I wanted a 6 foot one but for storage this one works well and it still about 5'7" or so. I hope to do my next alternate life-sized part 6 holding this if all works out well.

I just finished up painting some hands that were all white with black nails to match the mask. I also decided to try and tackle the axe and make it with my cardboard and wood magic. I Can't believe how awesome it turned out for my first and last one! I say last because it was a brutal cutting out those thick pieces of cardboard and then gluing and cutting them to the same length. I used cardboard and a plunger handle, and various paints to give it that metallic look with black underneath. I based it off the 7 inch figure,s axe. I also added the cardboard piece and painted in raised fake screws to give a 3-D look.

Of course the lighting does not do it justice and flash is too bright and shows too much, so I will get some outdoor pics later. This also may be light enough for my life-sized to hold if I can close the hands around it. I also sealed it with mod podge to give that shiny metallic look. Looks fantastic in low lighting too! The hands I did not latex/paint the bottoms yet, not sure if I will or not as they shrink a lot when I do. I also made them wet looking with perma-wet. It is amazing though what you can do with simple items around the house and a good imagination. I got lots more goodies to come too, and several life-sized costumes on the way. I am going to have 3 mannequins soon so I can do more at a time and leave them up. :) Will have some Creeper costume pics too soon.

Yeah I know, I only had so much room in the title heading, I do a lot more than Jason, Myers, and Freddy and am just posting my work as I go, not this thread will not only consist of those three, they are just the most popular so I used those names for the search engine. I got an even better Creeper coming soon and some other major horror icons coming soon. :) Thanks, glad you like them. Also they are made for dark lighting as the flash will over-embellish the weathering and make it seem bright.

I'd hate to step outside in the middle of the night and see Jason Vorhees standing across the street :lol

Loving all of it!!!
