Great looking Star Trek Scanner! Does it light up? I'm trying to get to mine but things keep popping up!
I'll keep this shot as I need to change my shorts! I scrolled down your post and marveled at your huge pictures! Then the M16 popped up and scared the %$@*&*$ out of me!
So you all have a great day, Petseal

Yes, it lights up. The green LED lights up the clear disk but it didn't show well in the pics I took of it. I offset the green LED like the original did, though I am not sure why they did that. It works pretty well, you can turn it on, then wave it over something and it will start beeping like it found something......like a 2X4. lol

It is a TM Clone, from a company called Echo-1. It is a GREAT gun, shoots super hard!!

The scanner is from a stud finder!! :) That is what they used on an episode of Enterprise as an alien scanner.

I was about to say the exact same thing! I KNOW it's the stud sensor I have.

DarthElvis - the Echo-1 has a metal gearbox, M100 spring, poly carbon piston and 16gauge wiring. It claims to shoot at 350fps and 800rpm. It is the hardest shooting airsoft gun I own, and only cost $150.

ECHO 1 is making a run at the big companies....similar performance, half the price. If it breaks, the loss is minimal. They seem to hold up as well as the TM's though.

Hi Jhusel,

Are you sure that the big screw on the handle and the nose of the barrel are Vietnam accurate ???

For what it's worth, the M16 is mostly an A2 version (rear sight, pistol grip, lower receiver reinforcements along the take-down pin area, heavier barrel, slotless-bottom flash suppressor, etc) and so looks to nitpickers like a mid-80's piece. That said, the A1 forearm is the most distinctive visual element there, so I think he's cool. :)

I am not sure of the accuracy of the M16, as to the details. I just know it as having the non-removable handle, solid stock, angled magazine and triangular foregrip. It is a nice, heavy gun though.
