I am about to entertain a transaction of a set of Icons authentic replicas Lost in Space B-9 robot parts. They are original and authentic. I was just curious, does anyone know how many actually made it out the door? Was anyone on this forum involved in the B-9 construction. Just any information, facts, stories, or tidbits concerning this item would be welcome. Thanks RPF!!!!:cool:thumbsup

Yeah I talked to a couple of those guys. Really nice people. They said that some people who worked on the production of the robot are members here. It would be nice if they could tell us more about this illusive and prized Icons item...:)

Funny, my wife looks exactly like that too....how weird! (Just joking!) That is an amazing replica!!! Just simply awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....out of breath...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I took almost three years to get all the parts together.
I also got ahold of the original voice guy "Dick Tufeld" and had him do 20 original tracks as well.

I love "mY" robot saying... "Danger, Danger TOM GALLO! and many others truly special. I also have a life sized Dr. Smith besides him also.

Micdavis IS here on the board and I believe he was the one who originally built the Icons 1st robot. Before all that happened.

Thanks Tom, glad you still enjoy him.

I assembled (and built a few) parts Tom had collected into a nice little robot.

For Icons, I consulted with them on the construction and details of thier robot (but was largely ignored). They hauled my first robot around as their prototype as I was going to sub-contract building them through the company I worked for at the time.

Someone on the B-9 forum had posted a link to an auction in Australia for a "set" of Icons parts that were all resin. I don't know how they owould be verified as authentic though.
As I recall, there were several materials that were planned for the Icons builds.
Good luck with your transaction!
MicDavis has built several and could certainly guide you on this.

Yeah, I am planning to buy an imcomplete set of parts from a guy. They look authentic and are cast in fiberglass. They even have the "Icons pillar and sun logo" that was attached to the robot. I am just curious as to how many parts were left over when Icons closed production....

Also, did anyone on this forum order one from Icons and actually recieved it. A COA was advertised with a whole bunch of signatures, did anyone actually get this?....

I have heard that 9 or 11 robots were actually shipped. But I was long gone from them before it got that far.

There were many parts lying around their "robot factory".

If you pos tpics I could probably ID the parts if that's what you're looking for.

That is all the pics I have. I believe that this is Icons because it has the Icons "pillar and sun" logo plate that was attached to the back but I could be wrong....

Although some of them appear to be Icons parts. I don't think all of them are, it's hard to tell from those pics. I could be wrong.

Are you saying the torso has a plaque built into it. Because I don't remember the Icosn torso having some of the those details molded in.
