SNW phaser Limey builds with Black Sea machined parts

I bought Limey Builds phaser months ago and had it printed by a member her Jediguy I believe. I built it up with a metal nozzle and dial and was pretty happy, but there were other parts I wanted to see made. I almost pulled the trigger on some parts made by someone I won’t name, but it was crazy expensive and wasn’t all the parts I wanted. Then Black Sea posted his plans. I jumped on it even though they are for v2 of the phaser and I have, like 1.2,so while pretty darn accurate there are some mods I am having to make, the biggest being the fins in the back as mine had them modeled in. Here are some terrible pics,I will put up more when I finish. Mostly I want to say the parts are awesome, well thought out,and frankly, the price was incredibly reasonable. It seams that he does a run and then moves on so watch for him. I missed his communicator parts tun and clearly missed a great thing…

Can't wait to see how this turns out! Doing a great job adapting those what a task.
Thanks! Your phaser is great I love it and is worthy of the upgrade. The fins are in and the dial is never coming out lol.the grill on the top phaser,as well as the setting dial were a lot of work as the dial cut outs are closer together and the grill is maybe 20% bigger, but I got them in. Lastly was the trigger,oi. It was machined for the newer version and I had the single part version. Out came the dremel and epoxy. Fortunately the resin mine is printed in some very tough stuff. Tomorrow is paint!

So if you are like me,you like the in process photos, but never take any, lol. Here are some before the upper portions go under primer, the handle is pretty much done as I like the paint I already have on it,though I am toying with the idea of making some of it matte. Here you can see the moves I made to the phaser 2 dial openings. The window is just press fit and I’ll glue it in after I paint. I also included a pic with the old grill on there to show the size difference. The trigger was almost as much work as the rear fins. The kill/stun indicator should clear up as the glue dries as I used hot glue to fill up the recessed area with the leds then white glue to finish it off so the window would be flush. Hopefully tomorrow or the next day I will post ‘finished’ shots. Thanks for looking! Oh and if you are doing one,I would love to see it…

I missed a delivery today but I think it is my own metal kit for this. 1 year after modelling and i might actually get around to building it myself!

So after many round of sanding and priming,I think I’m done, but there are a couple spots on the main body I’m still not apply about. I did not re scribe the detail on the hand phaser as I am not confident I can do it well,so…anyway I am pretty happy with it. Please let me know what you think!

Looking great! What color did you use on the main body?

For the p1, I used painter’s tape to mask it off and a Molotow chrome 1mm pen. Worked like a charm, the tape was just in case I slipped.
