Small batch resin casting

Hi all, I’ve decided to add some lighting to one of my model kits. I’ve decided the best way is to recast some of the parts in clear resin. First time doing it, so we’ll see how it goes.

On the chance I just want to pay someone else, is there a business or person that can recast some parts for me without charging an arm and a leg? Most places I’ve googled are looking for a much larger scale than just me

Youtube is fantastic for moulding and casting vids. Check out https://www.youtube.com/user/brickintheyard . They have a vid on almost any type of mould and resin you can imagine but there are heaps of other channels too if you are new to it

similarly trying to cast a part in clear epoxy... Can I use a 3D printed mold, or should I make a silicone mold from a positive of the piece? What's the best (and easiest) to use?
