so ive finally decided to try and make this no promises on whether ill be able to finish since the suit is REALLY complex with a semi-simple design to it.

but before i go one im used Dung0bettles pep file
and my refrence pictures are from Ryu Kumon's input on AZspideys thread about another goblin suit.
hopefully i did all the proper credits/shoutouts necessary haha

tell what you think of my game plan. maybe tonight or in the morning ill start on sculpting that mask

Very cool! I can envision your suit construction technique translating to other applications (spacesuits, for one!).

From the look of the pictures, it looks like the body suit has a combination of piping and foam attachments (like the "armor" on a motocross glove). Then it looks like they made the molded/vac-formed "armor" and attached them with pop rivets.

Looking forward to your progress!

thanks and yeah i was thinking the same thing when i was brainstorming. i was gonna use the technique to maybe do a reboot of my nova later. the major difficulties i forsee is making a mold for the helmet, the neck and building a vacuformer.

the foam worked perfectly turned into a nice odd looking football

the sculpting process is going awesome. i dont remember what type of clay this is but i know its not air dry and i easy to work with once i get areas done up the way i want i plan on heatgunning it to keep it that way

tell me what you think im looking in to cheap cheap cheap molding supplies since my hours have been cut all i got is time until i get a few calls about a few places ive applied for a second job.

this looks sweet! subscribed!
thanks im probably gonna swing by the store to see about materials to make the suit tonight so im back in semi familar waters

once i get it how i want it i plan on using this cheap cheap cheap method of making the mold i have a case of silicone caulking ill probably brush on than slap it on after spraying everything down with pam. i hope im making veteran sculptors cringe haha.

but with a head like this should i do a "blanket" style mold where the bottom is open or a half mold where i split it down the middle? a see those ears becoming a pain during that process

thanks for reading thoughtd comments all input welcome

3-piece mold, back and two fronts, seams along the edges of the ears. alternatively (and probably 1000 times harder), sculpt them separately and attach later.

do you mean like the whole thing do cut into three peices and mold and cast serpreate and cast?

This is beautiful,and spot on!
cannot wait to see more!!!!
thanks i hope it turns out as well i want it to

i took some artistic liberties and went rogue on colors. certain light it takes on a dark green/evergreen look

my pattern for the back
183534_1616772510426_1569762158_31341052_2087806_n.jpg

and the gist of the back. im thinking slivers of the rylon lycra inbetween so i get a tad more flexibility im thinking like this or making it two seperate pieces down the middle for the zipper

man this is so cool! keep it up, looking forward to the finished product. Are you planning to make the glider or maybe his gernades?

actually my buddy works at a bicycle shop and they always get really goofy stuff in to try out and one was a remote control skateboard...its exactly as it sounds. i dont remember the company that made it but it had a hand held pistol you pushed the trigger for to go forward and back to slow down and you turned by leaning it. and you take the bolts out and put your own board on it. it was about 4 inches taller than a normal skate board and its kind of asking to for broken limbs the first time i hoped on i got cocky and wanted to see how fast it wen and fell it packed power and the first thing i tought was silver surfer and than the goblin if i raised it higher and put a new board on there.

im gonna call him when i get off to see if its still around

i need to figure out how im going to go about the neck to tie the too sides together better

Watching with interest. project looks great, nice work. I have been trying to contact DungObeetle about getting his pep file for the GG mask. My grandson is having a fit for us to build one for him and that would be a great project for me as I am new at this.

Anyone have any idea where i might get the unfolded file? I would appreciate any guidance on this from anyone.

thanks i had the day off so im trying to get it in.

i habe sleeves on right now and i forsee getting the band all the way down being a time consuming process

im going to re do the helmet the weekend. but i did cover it it a coat of caulking and it did pull for the most part. but when i do it im probably going do the same i did but after im satisfied im gonna heat gun it and cut it in half maybe or at least cut the ears off.

and the suit im taking artistic liberties on since io like the brownish green look it gives it a look like this....
7530_360_042009003_0019_ra.jpg

and im thinking about making the actual "cone" on the back of the helmet purple or at least a major purple tint.

Dupont makes a paint that will change color with different light. I think that was used on the original costume to give the helmet and cone a weird changing look. That would be pretty neat.

i thought about that and looked into i just think itd be a BAM if there was purple purple on the head. and im thinking maybe having purple piping going along a few of the creases on the torso

Is there any particular brand of expanded foam that is good for this. Most I have seen dry up so fast I think I might have a hard time working with it. it would be good if you had a few minutes to shape the inside and other edges a bit when applying.

I got your PM and sent one back hope you got it. Thanks
