Slave I ...from the "Inaccurate Buildup" LP

Two more parts from the radar dish I can't seem to track down. Anyone?

What kit is around it? Look for something modified from that model.
No idea otherwise...
Axel?
Strut?
Part of a Model Stand?
Angled cross section...that implies its HOLDING something or bearing some sort of FORCE. (No pun)

The main base for the array looks to be 88mm part B33? Am i right Allan, its been an age since ive looked at this model?
Ive scoured the rest of my 88mm, nothing of that shape.
Ive checked Vosper, thought it could be the Torpedo clamps, but nothing in that one either.

Okay, still looking for parts...

I believe these both may be from the same 1/76 Fujimi kit.

Number 1 looks very much like the aft bulkhead from the 1/76 Fujimi Jagdpanther. True, I could simply put another couple holes in it...but, that's not really what this hobby's about, now is it? :D BTW, before anyone goes shooting holes in the 1/76 Fujimi idea, the part below scales perfectly to the parts adjacent to it on the filming model. Whatever the actual part is, I'm 99 percent it's from a 1/76 Fujimi.

Thanks, swgeek! The Bulldog is a funny kit. It was quickly eliminated as a donor early on based on the ref we had. These last few bits are from more recent ref and I'm finding that kits that had been eliminated need to be pulled out again...

allan,
albeit i'm def not very good at eagle-eye'g donor kits...but may i ask what "reasoning" you had to eliminate it as a candidate early on? i presume it has to do something with the history of the behind-the-scenes of ilm, or perhaps who was building it, etc?

By the way, here's a new find I made last week. One of the antenna on the radar dish is from the 1/87 ROCO Gepard (sometimes mislabeled on ebay - and the older packaging - as a "Leopard").

Oh, my bad. By "eliminated early on" I only mean that it was vetted against available photo reference and found not to provide any kit parts. At that point the kit gets moved to the "also ran" pile as a loser (for Slave, anyway).

You have to be really methodical in vetting kits (which, I wasn't in this case). It's fine to eliminate kits and keep lists so you're not always going through the same kits over and over. But, when you happen upon new reference, ya gotta recycle through those "eliminated" kits, or this is what happens.

It's tedious. That's why we LOVE it!! Right? Right?? In truth, on Slave, I think I'm the only one left loving it on a regular basis... We hit the 80-20 rule over a year ago. These scraps I'm hunting, now, are really just for the insane.

:D

Oh, and I also say it's a funny kit because it's a bit like Tamiya's m42 and leopard - they're pretty rough and lackluster kits.

Glad to be of help. It's funny, Bulldogs are the tank my dad was in, in the '50s.
Keep up the great work, I'm looking forward to seeing this done.

Appreciate the eyes, geek! The bulldog is a fine tank, it's just that the Tamiya version lacks the polish of some of their other kits.

That bulldog scan is mine, and I probably still have the part. LMK if you need it.

Thanks for the Bulldog offer, Jay - but it's already bagged! :D

Weazel, you're dead-on, too. I'm betting it's either the Fujimi Jagdtiger or the T34 - I'll order both and report back. Thanks!
