Skyrim: Falmer Helmet- 1ST CAST OUT

Re: Skyrim: Falmer Helmet

Lookin good!!! It's nice to see people working on their smithing skills. I went the easy route and leveled up with iron daggers. Props to you for your skills.

Re: Skyrim: Falmer Helmet

Great work so far. If you get bored with this helmet, you should make dragonplate armor hehe

Re: Skyrim: Falmer Helmet

Dont know how I missed this thread. Looking forward to seeing it finished! Some lovely curves and shapes going on there

Re: Skyrim: Falmer Helmet

Yessss! Falmer armor is some of my favorite in the game. It has a very unique design with some fantastic subtle coloring effects. Yet another RPF thread I'm looking forward to following. Keep up the good work!

Re: Skyrim: Falmer Helmet

Well i'm calling this done. i still need to finish up the mold walls but i should be putting this in silicone this week.
I'm pretty damn happy with it. i can't wait to paint one up.

Re: Skyrim: Falmer Helmet- SCULPT FINISHED

Cracking work man! Really the shapes and curves alone must have been a nightmare! Cant wait to see one painted up

Re: Skyrim: Falmer Helmet- SCULPT FINISHED

ok i have the first cast out. came out really good! although i didnt quite mold it correctly and they are hard to get out. not impossible, just more work then i would prefer.

these will run on the small side since they are made to fit me, but oh man does it fit good. i will have to take better pics of the fit once i get it painted up.

Very very cool! How well does it sit on the head? Do you have to keep your head tilted back slightly?

Amazing job! You wouldn't happen to have any pics of your molding process would you?? I'm ready to mold some of my work and would like to see your methods since it came out so nice!

How do you see out of it?

towards your nose. you can't really see well.

it sit's very well. i have to add a bit more padding, but once i do it will rest just fine.

sorry i didn't take pics of this one. but i did a brush on silicone jacket, then a plasti-paste mother jacket. the mother is in 5 pieces.

wow that's looking fantastic. After the helmet is done could you think about posting a few pics of the molding process?
