Okay so I am working on this prop here



How should I go about this project?
My original idea was EVA foam but I am not entirely sure. I feel like it wouldn't be sturdy enough, though.

Open to help/suggestions.

I'm not sure. but you could probably get away with using foam with some well placed support rod's. big project..

I think that EVA foam would work, its been done in the past. You also might consider using expanded polystyrene foam if your looking for a sturdier foam. If you go on the cosplay forum theres always people talking about making props like that, Im sure you can find more advice there. I've bought my EPS foam from univfoam.com and they were pretty helpful.
