Sink knob help - replica

Hi folks,

Does anyone recognize this pommel? Is it Roman’s or an earlier replica?

I’ve had it for a while and there were always burrs on the edges and today they started to peel! I’m assuming I can’t fix this, tell me if I’m wrong!

looking for other metal replicas if this is done for, j prefer metal on a metal saber, even if the originals were plastic

It looks a lot like a Romans Empire, I’ve had chrome peel off of one of his before also but it was for a weathered saber so I didn’t mind.

It may not show in my pics, but the chrome flaked off on one section between cubes and off one entire cube. I had bought the knob from Roman directly when he first had 3 piece accurate replicas available, 2010 maybe? The chrome was incredibly thin and flaked off when I rubbed it with my finger.

I'd consider buying one of Roman's new models if I were you. They now come with hot or cold indices on the end, which is a really nice touch.

I have a few of Roman’s latest version, I haven’t had this happen, or heard of anyone else’s doing this

With both mine and his it seems to be isolated to chroming on handwheels from many years ago and not his current offerings.

Yes - these have metal hand wheels. Actually, the threaded other 2 pieces are amazing and this was just a factory thing.. I think it was chromed over some burrs that prevented it from really bonding.

This has to be an ooolldddd hand wheel tho. Maybe I will get a new one!
