I'm teaching a class on costume crafts and I need a torso form that I can use for the armormaking segment. I'm having trouble finding a cost effective means of obtaining a simple, suitable torso form, similar to a manequin torso that I can use. I'm looking for the smaller scale to conserve on materials as full size armor pieces can get quite expensive when it comes to materials.
Anyone have any leads, suggestions, or resources for this? I've looked at everything from vinly model kits to half scale dress forms, and most of these options either turn up nil, or are too expensive to provide for an 18+ member class.
