Zhe Germans are so ****** dumb ...quite obviously, it was not acceptable to have four foreign words in a movie title....so they took away one and made that a "2".

I hate this renaming movies ********, nothing but confusion comes from that. You wouldn't believe how stupid the localized titles can get...

Yeah, well... I think what you mean to say is "The Prototype is going to be freaking awesome." And from the picture you posted, it looks to be pretty cool. However, that's not what you're going to get. You're gonna get the sculpt alright... but with the paintwork of a 12 year-old Filipino boy, that got $.35 an hour to do it.

I honestly do not have the patience to navigate their site right now to find the specific article or whatever about the bust, and the price. But if they stick with their pattern it'll be in upwards of a grand. ****.. I bet that little Filipino boy is pissed now! That's right... for the price of one of those pieces you painted for round-eye devil you could've fed your village for years.

Sideshow. They're just an upscale version of McFarlane toys for rich people. Or people who can afford to drop a grand on something that I could've painted with my pubicle sack.




No complaints about the German AVP:R poster. Looks pretty slick to me!

Gotta agree---What in hell are those people at Sideshow smoking?!! I just saw the predalien over there. Let's see if I get this right---almost a freakin' grand for a 27" tall figure? WTF! The 24" P1 maquette is over $1,000! Listen, I'm all about what the market will bear and free enterprise, but for crying out loud!
Case in point---despite the high price, the P1 maquette is sold out. I guess there are more people in this world willing to blow that kind of money than I thought. I love this ****, but I gotta tell ya----if I had that kind of disposable income to spend, it wouldn't be on that stuff. Hell, for that kind of money you could buy the Morris life size rigid foam predator on eBay (Item number: 230189393247). It's the 2/3 version, but so what?

Sideshow's stuff rocks and worth every penny so far... But the price on the Predalien piece is a bit much considering it's almost the same as the pred maquette, which was a much more complicated piece both in terms of sculpt and paint. The predalien looks OK, but not for that price. As for the bust, we'll need to see some more pics, but that huge amount of pink on the mouth is scaring me.

Look at their new AVP props... their prices for fully finished pieces are not any more than what fellow prop makers here charge for similar items.

y'know.... I always wanted to get the P1 1:1 scale bust because it looked so damn good, but at 800+ I didn't know whether to get that or spend it on 2-3 kits. The maquette for the P1 also looked good, but then again, you get the right paint job on a kit, and it look just as good or better. I'd pay 500 for it because it's such a large piece, the 1:1 bust that is, but really, even 600 maybe, if I really had to have it, their prices for some pieces are beat. I'd rather drop 1000 bucks on my car. If they lowered their prices just a weeeeee bit, I'd be buying up all their ****....even if I don't have place to store it at the moment, cuz' all my cases are being filled with garage kits, better bang for the buck! Gah!

I will however, pick up that new Alien 3 diorama they have, and possibly the 'Wolf' mask.

They always do this to get the bizz going, then they post the pre-order at some point, then put up the complete set of pics a couple of days later
