We haven’t had a contest here at the Lair in quite some time and we felt like it was long overdue so we have teamed up with Sideshow Collectibles to bring you a contest that will allow you to show off your skill and creativity!
What do we want you to do? Sculpt, build, or assemble a custom Predator plasma cannon! Go crazy with it. Big or small, any variation! This build must be something new you are working on specifically for this contest, not an old build or a build already in progress.
The contest will run from May 11 through May 31 at 10:00pm PST, giving you almost 3 full weeks to work on your build!

Entry Submission
Submission is easy! Just create a new thread, here in the Predator Weapons & Armor forum with the title: "[Your board name]'s Custom Cannon Contest Entry"
In the first post of your thread, tell us what you are planning to build, and what medium you plan to use. While it is not required, we'd also like you to include a little about your skill and experience within the prop and costume community as well as any tips you might like to share.
Before the end of the contest (May 31[sup]st[/sup]), you must post at least two "finished" photos of your build into your thread.
On 06/04/2012 we will create a poll for voting from our members through 06/07/2012. Winners will be announced on 06/08/2012. Winners will be determined by vote. There will be one winner .
What is the prize?
Sideshow Collectibles is donating a 1:6 scale Shadow Predator from Predator 2, (a $225 value) as the prize for this contest!

Prize: The winner of the Contest will win a 1:6 scale Shadow Predator from Predator 2. All federal, state and/or local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Notification: The winner will be notified by private message on thehunterslair.com’s forums on or about the date that the Contest results are published to thehunterslair.com (roughly around June 8, 2012). If winner does not respond to notification within 15 days, they forfeit their prize.
Intellectual Property: You agree that thehunterslair.com may use the Submission, or any portions or elements of the Submission, as described in these Official Rules without any payment or other obligation whatsoever to you. If you are selected as a Winner, you agree to assign and hereby do assign to thehunterslair.com all of your rights, title and interest in the Submission. International Shipping Restrictions:
