Shutter Island (2010)

OK, here is a pic of an original USM commission book (ID) that the movie set and Caplan's excellant replica are based on:

Maybe somebody can clean up the image of the real USM creds and post here so we can do our own Shutter Island replicas. :cool

Here is my version. I'm not happy with the eagle logo but that's as good as I can do at this time. I've also attached a photo of DiCaprio as well. Just cut out each card and paste into your book (or insert into your ID holder for a less than screen accurate look) cut out the photo and paste it on the top left corner of the top card and you're done. It should look similar to the third pic.

Hey, Caplan thanks. Your photo is much closer than mine. Also I can see from the screen grab above that the eagle logo used in the movie is different than the original one that I used. Well that's what happens when you do something in a hurry.:lol

Hi my friend

I added some little modifications on your great work
for the United States of América ( old writing now ), and refocufed letters.
look nice:thumbsup.

for the Eagle I have already seen the Eagle about on a site, in fact it is assemblage of the graghiste of the movie, and I am not sure that it is Eastern
but another word.

District Massachussetts ok!

Boston, Mass ok!

for the informations the date of issue of id Andrew Laeddis it's June forty six.

the true size for the set it's in French 10,2cm on 6,6cm.

Thank you again Caplan for the information and suggestions. I've made alterations and updated my previous post. Oddly, I had been searching for a more appropriate photo for Leo and had found one that I thought would work so I made the alterations. I check this thread today and see that you have posted a larger Leo photograph and it's the same one that I had used.:)

Caplan your work is excellent as usual.

Thanks for all of your hard work!

And thanks again for sharing!

Everyone's work is top notch.

That is one very nice badge.

Neil
I ordered one, will post a pic when I receive it for those that are interested!

Also, I think I found a pretty close match to the eagle seal from the top of the creds, it's not exact but Its pretty close! Its from a US civil war era enlistment document rather than anything to do with the US Marshals service. A little more digging around that era might turn up an exact match....

Finally, a really clean scanned image of the Seal used for the Marshal creds.

A big thanks, pauljones33. I've been looking for better images with no luck. This is what I love about this site, people stepping up to help without even being asked.:thumbsup

I think you may be onto something with the first image. Maybe we can find a larger version.:confused

Awesome pic. This will look great cleaned up a little. Nice work. I love the props from this film and this era.

Best,

OK, I've updated my original post (again) with the new logo image. Hopefully I will get to do this one more time with a screen accurate logo in the near future.

Thanks again to everyone's help on this. To be honest, I've not seen this film but due to boredom and looking for a new project to try my hand on, you folks have drawn me into this and now I will HAVE to see this movie.

I've tried googling diferent combinations to find a better image! Best I come up with is attached, maybe someone in the US can check a ref book for an a image? Anyway, as it stands DM thats a nice job dude!

I think you may be onto something with the first image. Maybe we can find a larger version.:confused
