This is an add-on kit that a friend was kind enough to pass on to me a few years ago. I've finally gotten around to finishing it. It's one of a kind, which makes it all the more special to me.

The parts were attatched to a solid resin cast AP. Here's a little history he provided along with it. Buddy, please feel free to chime in with anything else you might want to add.

"It was built for the assasination of the Federation President, but when someone realized that it was a going to be carried out by a Federation Officer disguised as a Klingon it would only make sense that he have a Klingon Rifle, so they had one built and went with that instead. There is a photo of it in the ART OF STAR TREK book which I used as my reference..."

Now on to the pics.

NICE job. :D

I've always thought that was a great concept weapon ever since The Art Of Star Trek book came out. It IS a shame it never got used, but the reason for the change to a Klingon weapon makes sense.

The base Assault Phaser looks like an old AIM phaser. I used to have one way back when.

Are the parts removable, or is it always a phaser rifle?

Jim Kirk, Napoleon Solo.

He will be briefing you on the new Phaser rifle. :p

I love it more every time I look at it.

Again great job Harlock. :)

Thanks fellas. Here's some answers to your questions:

Are there more available?[/b]

Unfortunately not. This was a one-of-a-kind piece.

It looks like what I remembered. It was a shame that it didnt get used but oh well. By the way it looks very flat and black. The original color on the guns was a gun metal metalic. Sorry I dont remember the brand, too many years ago. Is the phaser pistol a fan made? it looks pretty damn close.[/b]

I usually paint my AP's two tone black per Mr. J's description, but for this one, I used the Art of Trek pic as the guide. To me it looks a bit on the flat side, which would make a little sense as it would be used for sniping. Don't want to give away your position with a shiny weapon. I also removed the ID plate on the butt, because you wouldn't want it to be identified if you got caught.....

The parts are all epoxied in place. There's actually a 1/4 inch steel rod running about 4" into both the barrel and phaser body to help support the weight. The whole setup weighs close to 10 pounds.

I figured a solid body would handle that better than one of my hollow kits.

I know I am a little late at a response but that is such a cool and unique phaser build. :love

How long did it take you?

Have any more pics?

What is the base phaser kit?

Thank. Loved the work. :love
