Show off my DLT19/MG34 build

Not the best pictures, but wanted to show off my finished DLT-19 build up. Its a de-mil MG-34 with goodies from fellow RPFers. Thanks go out to ElvisTrooper, Hanger18Studios, DL44Blaster, and BlasTech for info and parts.

Now I just gotta find a way to display this 27 pound beauty.

i held one of these de-mil´s last summer from a garrison member last summer and i had no idea how heavy they actually are!

btw. i remember Brak´sBuddy did a nice wall mounted display for his DLT, maybe he can help... i can´t find the pictures right now!

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I really appreciate it. Yes, she is very heavy.

As for the feeder box cover, here are two pics. They aren't exactly like the cover in the Chronicles picture/Brak's Buddy's version, but it is close. I carved out a wood piece as the filler and then got some thin aluminum and wrapped it around the wood. It fits with tension inside the feederbox attachment. I think the Chronicles picture fits outside.

Personally, I wanted to be faithful to the MG-34, so this way, I can pull out the aluminum sheet covered wood and its back to its original state. Same applies to the conical knob... its hot glued on. The rubber grips can be easily removed. And the resin butt stock is pulled off pretty easy. I can put the original wood stock on within a few minutes.

Hope these pics help. Figuring out the box cover was the trickiest part for me.
