I think they mean they would personally have a much smoother resault. I went with foam in the end cause my bondo skills were not so good. Although now that I have a bit more knowledge about techniques and UK products I think I might have another crack at it at some point as I know I have the skills.
Yer, I think its down to my skills with Bondo/body filler. I'm just no good with it so I'm hoping a foam version would look better.
I will still make the helmet from pep/res/filler but the rest of the suit in foam.
Here is my first ever foam pep project... It was done in a rush for an avenger themed night out.
Shockingly bad but was fun to build and I learnt a lot.... Especially about scaling and working with foam in general i.e. use cheap bumpy foam, u get a cheap bumpy Ironman.
That said my drunk dancing to AC/DC makes up for it.
Had a shoot today of some sculptures so used the mini studio to get a pic done to post here. My camera was upstairs uploading pics so just used my camera phone so not the best of images. The gold on the abs was hand painted and didn't get the colour right, will redo it with a better mix.
Here's mine. I just have to paint the fingers for the right glove and it is completely finished. I plan to have some professional-quality photos taken soon (my wife is a photographer part time) with my buddy's Lamborghini Gallardo...'cause that's what Tony would do.
This was last night and was the first time I've had everything on at once.
