Shoulder Gun

I am just wondering what you guys think i should do, i have about 10 months to get this costume ready and most of it is being ordered but no gun is being ordered yet so i am mostly going to make one, with the 10 months do you guys think i should just make the one that sits on the shoulder or should i spend alittle more time and get a motor in the bottom and make it move left to right when i turn on the laser. idk if i have the time for that but if i found out what would be better for a costume it might help
