SEVERANCE Speaker/Intercom Build

Hot tap water helped with the shaping. And it does not seem to need magnets!

I would, however, suggest four connection points instead of two, as the grill wants to "roll" without any bracing.

Thanks for the kind words!

No, I used a resin printer, and painted with Rustoleum Painter's Touch 2X, in white and navy blue, following up with a matte clear-coat.

Printed in PLA on Bambu P1S

I need to get cream colored PLA or paint it. Otherwise, very happy with it!

What are people putting inside of them so it doesn't look hollow? I thought about turning it into a lamp or printing a black insert to add behind the front

Love it, looks great! I put speaker cloth behind the the front holes and the back vents, plus a small camera lens behind the camera hole.

I recently 3D printed the amazing model shared here and was looking for the most accurate wire and plug as seen in the show when they rush in and literally pull the plug on Mark S. Has anyone identified what type of connector is attached to the gray cable? It’s no a connector I immediately recognized. Thanks for any assistance you guys might be able to provide.

Today I upgraded some of the internals. Now it has an actual functioning camera (on a 3D printed bracket) that can be viewed from any browser.

That's perfect! What kind of device did you use to play the sample?

Thank you!

I shared my "push-to-play-sound" discoveries here:

Absolutely love this. Nicely done, and thanks for the continual updates on this. I love to see how models/ideas evolve.

I’m quite sure it was a 5-pin DIN plug, as used in MIDI connectors and old HiFi equipment (pre rca-plugs). I think computer keyboards used to have them before they all became PS/2 plugs. The plug looks to be a molded on variant, not a soldered/screwed on type.

EDIT: It looks a lot like this one:

Hirschmann 930 965-517-1 DIN Plug
