True words Hez.......too mnay people drinking Haterade around here.It is what it is people.....a freaking Predator movie,not a lord of the rings triology or a movie that would be recognized by the academy. I say continue making them.....give us different planets,different predators,different stories....i honestly wouldnt give a **** if it went straight to dvd people. You know the problem with expectations people.........Expectations is resentment under construction
 
Yeah, I have my doubts they'll make another.I have seen it 4 times already including opening night and with exception of opening night the other shows were almost empty .last time I saw it it was my coworker and I and 6 other people.WTF!
GO P2!! and I hope AVP doesn't make a comback,I hope not.

they should leave AVP die, keep it in the comics, 2 **** ups does not warrant a 3rd outing, espeically with "twit and tw*t" at the helm.


Now we have the predator an alien doing their own thing again, leave them that way.
 
Just out of curiosity and hypothetically thinking here, what if FOX asked the lair to do the third AVP movie?

every one go see this movie 5-10 times so they can make it... AND... GO!
 
I would love a sequel, but unlike many here, I LOVED the open ending to Predators, so to me a sequel wouldn't have to pick up right from there...they could leave those characters be and go in a whole new direction. Either way. And I want more AVP too. At the end of the day, I really like seeing Preds in action, and I'll watch what they make and be happy. And I really enjoyed the AVP films, despite some weaknesses. As far as Predators goes, loved it. Can't gush enough. So yeah, bring on the sequel.
 
well if it does ok, they'll do more, i'm honestly surprised we got another movie after the last movie was as bad as it was.
I'm just happy to see new designs and new storys for the pred.

You say that, im not so sure any true fan would have allowed that predator design to see the light of day.... im talking here about scars butt ugly humanised face of course. Im sure Anderson had no influence over the pg rating and what not, but he could have fought to keep the pred a pred im sure.... Barf!!!! For all its failings the film had a few good scene's though i suppose.
 
Hey all im newer to your forums but id like to chime in. I saw Predators twice in the same day, once in the morning and then again in the evening with my wife and we loved it. I would love to see a sequal with more new content ie pred tech. as far as AVPR goes I liked the monster moments but as soon as a human was on screen i could care less. right after AVPR came out i remember reading that the directors wanted to take AVPR to the timeline of Aliens. Now an AVP film with some space marines is an AVP film I'd go see, if they do a third in modern times than I give, although I'd see it just to watch some preds, i know it could always be better with some wise cracking space marines.
 
Ok, I'm relatively new to the forum but wanted to say a few things about the 'franchise'. There are people who didn't like the new movie and there are people who did, but surely the point is that the movie got made. A lot of the comments appear to be based on personal likes/dislikes i.e. more weapons, less weapons, more on the history of the preds/less history of the preds. There are of course comments on the bad cgi etc but as a piece of film making it didn't fare too badly with the top film critics. The film wasn't savaged unlike some productions ;) So, I for one would like to see another production and would hate to have to wait another 20 plus years (I'm getting too old for that s**t...to paraphrase a certain detective). I'm not sure if this has already been discussed and apologises if it has, but what about introducing RR to the Lair or making him aware of its existence (if he isn't already) if he does plan a 'sequal'??? Anyway thanks
