Seeking Trek TOS Communicator buck for sale or rent/loan.

I'd like to jump into making my first prop.

I have worked with Kydex before so I thought a dummy TOS communicator would be a good project. I think I can handle the Kydex molding and parts and info is available which should make it doable for me.

Anyone have a source for a buck though? I don't have any woodworking equipment to scratch build my own. (Heck, I'd love to use a pencil case, if I could find one...)

You could buy a Sterling pencil box (that the original comms bucks were made from), cut it up and make resin bucks from it. That would not require any woodworking skills and would be fairly easy to do.

I'm keeping an eye out for one. Harder to find then you'd think.
