Hi, I'm trying to find an inexpensive ($25 or less) wig that can pass as Ash Williams from Evil Dead 2. The look I'm trying for is this:
The problem I'm running into is that every cheapo wig I've tried so far every looks like a bad Beatles moptop or like a ridiculous Elvis pompadour. I have light wispy hair, so coloring my own hair just won't work.
I've seen a few on Amazon that look okay, but the reviews are usually bad and say the product looks terrible in real life, although my costume demands may be lower than their 'passing as real hair in real life' ones.
I'm also going to gunk it up a bit, so that may help the look.
Any suggestions based on your own experiences, whether it be for Ash or characters with similar hairdos? If you have pics of what the wig really looks like, that's even better!
