Searching for Last Starfighter Cabinet Part

I have Doc's Last Starfighter cabinet in my shop so I can replicate it to make kits available, or full cabinets as it may be a bit more work to assemble than a simple kit.

As I get into this, I've found one part that I can't really identify or find a suitable replacement for. Pics below. It looks to me like a lens / bezel that snapped over a light and inserted into a panel. On the game, only the lens and bezel is used as it's backlit.

Any help on this would be great.

The measurements are very, very close to the lightbar graph from a Ghostbusters neutron wand.
The part on the orginal hero gun was from a camera flash.
Unfortunatly, that' as much as I know on it.
Maybe it'll be enough though!!

Good luck! Much love for LSF props!!

Sorry Phillip I don't have any info on the prop but I am friends with Nick Castle, the director of The Last Starfighter and he also played "The Shape" or "Michael Myers" in the 1978 Halloween. Anyway, just bragging ;)

Good luck!

I'm not kidding, I think I have some of those. I remember a bunch of snap on pieces like that, in red, orange and green. I'll dig through my junk box and if I've still got any, and if so, they are yours as a gift. (I'll never do anything with them... if I still have em' they've been in my junk box for at least 10 years!)

I'll dig tonight and let you know tomorrow.

Wow, that would be awesome. Fingers crossed.

That looks like a light lens/cover that Whirpool used to use on their freezers years ago. My Mom and Dad still have the old freezer and my dad worked at whirlpool for about 39 years and had some around the house. The lens was an orangey kind of color though. But that may be some kind of lead if nothing else.

I've been looking, still haven't found anything. However, I do still have a bunch of old piecesparts in a box in a storage unit. I'll get over there tomorrow... needed an excuse to bring it here anyway. :)

Sounds good.

Will see if there's any way to research whirlpool freezers Malestrom. Thanks.
