I was just watching a special on the Discovery Channel on the dangerous Humboldt Squid. The underwater photographer, former Special forces soldier Scott Cassell mentioned that he consulted with a "Star Wars costume expert" on the design of a protective anti-squid suit. The plates look strangely familiar...

I heard about this about a year ago...but couldn't find much in the way of pics. That shot from Wildboyz...AWESOME. You can even see the chest design in that pic.

Don't know off hand if it's the same guy, but there's a documentary on the Squid on the 20,000 leagues under the sea DVD that shows a guy in all yellow Trooper scuba armour.
