Haven't seen your fantastic Vader before I was explaining to you how the cape chain is hooked to the armor. My bad, cause your Vader is really awesome and you surely don’t need my explanation. Your helmet is absolutely wicked !

Very, very nice.

Working my but off to make something half as decent. Where did you get the helmet again, and how much was it? I have a Black series which is fun, but not accurate, was thinking of making my own, but thats a job and a half

If you dont mind me asking, price of the helmet?

What are you going to do with your old set? Display it, or sell it?

Thank you. It's Shadow FX. It's a decent high end helmet but not what he claims to be "off original". I don't want you sucked in if you buy. He charges $899 plus shipping on rotj.

Ok, thanks. Im thinking its going to be ESB style helmet i go for, eventually. I think i need to get the rest of the suit up to scratch, then ill upgrade that helmet, or model and make my own in the mean time.

Still blown away this. My only nitpick is the grainy photos, would love to see your Vader in better resolution to see all the details!! Great work again

Its just great isnt it!

I test fitted and added velcro to my suit last night, without cape, just everything else and my daughter videod it cause she said it was cool. Its nothing, nothing like the one here in terms of accuracy.....but i admit, 8yr old me was doing his nut wearing it. I now need to rework it to get it something near this one here.

It was really nice to troop as Vader again! Aside from a misshap with the face mask it went smooth. I forgot my muscle shirt and am surprised how well I still look with my natural frame.

Now the facemask incident. This was partly my fault. I was taking off the mask by pulling it away from my face. The strap undid it self and it was launched into the air and hit concrete. The main damage was done to the crown/male connector to dome. Not seen so I found it super easy to repair. Then one paint chip and tiny crack on the face.

Guess what? I don't care. Lol it's only a SFX helmet. I bought it soley for trooping. It still looks fine in full costume infact the video was after the incident.

Lol, its a fab suit and you are looking great!

Ive kind of got the bug. Putting on my suit, just took me back to being a child, in the cinema watching vader storm in to the ship and being overawed and frightened. Sure, i was 5, but still!

So, forgive the noise, and don't compare it to yours because i have a TON of work to do on it before im satisfied....but heres me on saturaday, suited up mostly for a party.

It was really, stupid akward, as in the suit with helmet on, i was having to duck for doors, lights, and spiderweb stuff. roughly 6ft 7 i would guess, on top of my normal height of 6'3.

So much noise you can barely hear the breathing noise, lightsaber, etc, and it was dark, so not much detail.

Things im working on from here:

I could not wear the battle tabbard, as the dye had not dried,
The chestbox lights that i built when putting it on my chest, pinched a wire and caused a light to fail, and messed up the timings,
The red LED didnt show nearly well enough on the belt boxes, so need to adjust the density of red in my casting.
I sewed and made my own cape, i need to adjust the neck, to reduce overall height, and add a silk lining.
I need to fibreglass the shins, and Shoulder armor
I need to sew a new leatherette suit, the one i had made....the stripes are 1cm apart, too close, and the lady put the stipes in all weird orientations....now ive learnet to sew a bit...i should be able to buy some decent material, and sew in my own striping, and use the undersuit as a pattern as it fits lovely. Not sure if im going to use leather, or thinner, fake leather.
Sort out a truly accurate helmet at some point, that will be the last thing i do as i think the helmet looks fine, its just not right.
