Scream (1996)-Is this the knife?

I've been looking for a new knife, and I found a few Buck 119's for a good price. Can anyone tell me if the Buck 119 was, indeed, the knife used in filming? The blade looks about right, but I want to be sure.

I'll include a picture of the knife and I'll see if I can get some screencaps soon.

Ha! That is the same knife I use for deer hunting! Very nice knife that is affordable and sharp! I searched screen caps for a bit and though I can't find a clear picture (searched for a whole 2 minutes) it seems to be close.

Nope that's not it. The knife used in Scream was a Buck 120 General. The one you have here is a Buck 119 Special.

It's the same knife design, but the 120 General has a longer blade & blood groove.

Is the 120 General expensive?

I love that movie..."Watch a few horror movies, take a few notes...it was fun."

Thanks guys for finding out. Funny enought, Scream was on TBS last night, and I noticed that the blood groove was different on the 119. A really good blade-shot is when the killer slashes Tatum's arm in the garage.

Walmart used to carry the accurate and and 19 for anyone interested. I'm not sure if they still do, but its worth a look the next time you're in there.

Hi, I'm a spammer.
First, there was no need to bump all these threads about the same knife, especially since half of them are months, if not years, old.

Second, please stop spamming threads with links to your Facebook sales page. It's against the rules for attempting to sell outside the Junkyard anyway.

He has been spamming the board all evening to get to his 20 posts for access to the junkyard.
Lots of innocent "cool" or "thats awesome" posts.
Signed up in march and has made all 20+ of his posts today.
Someone ban this twit.
